The president of Zakho University, Prof.Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz signed a memorandum of understanding with the president of Akre University for Applied Sciences, Prof.Dr. Manhal Elham Abdul, on September 26, 2023, to foster a collaborative partnership.

Under this partnership, the two parties have recognized the desirability and feasibility of establishing a collaborative relationship designed to strengthen and deepen educational and scientific ties between the two universities.

Additionally, the MoU covers seven terms. Specifically, it mentions the participation of the academic staff of both universities in the supervision and discussion of master's and doctoral theses and dissertations. Also, both sides benefit from visiting laboratories, departments, and centers. Besides, working together on the internationalization of both universities and conducting joint scientific work.

Ultimately, both parties expressed their pleasure at signing this memorandum and wished it to become a starting point for enhancing the higher education sector at both universities.
